ABOUT

Our Story

Founded in 2021, TANGO INCLUŚION was created to preserve and expand Argentine Tango as a living cultural tradition while making it accessible to today's diverse communities. What began as a shared vision has grown into a year-round nonprofit dedicated to education, live music, performances, festivals, and community programming throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

Inspired by the legacy of Nora Olivera and generations of artists who have carried this tradition forward, we believe Argentine Tango is far more than a dance. It is a cultural expression that brings people together through music, movement, history, and shared human connection.

ABOUT US

TANGO INCLUŚION is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and expanding Argentine Tango as a living cultural tradition through year-round education, live music, performances, and community programming. Founded in 2021, we celebrate the history, music, social customs, and artistic expression of Argentine Tango while making this immigrant-rooted cultural tradition accessible to people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.

We believe Argentine Tango creates a unique connection between the mind, body, and spirit, inspiring creativity, strengthening human connection, and improving overall well-being. Through shared experiences in music, movement, and cultural participation, our programs bring people together, encourage lifelong learning, and create meaningful relationships across diverse communities.

Our work is rooted in inclusion, accessibility, wellness, and cultural preservation. Through classes, performances, festivals, public events, and community partnerships across the San Francisco Bay Area, we create welcoming spaces where people from all backgrounds can experience the richness of Argentine Tango while building lasting connections through a shared cultural experience.

We are committed to removing barriers to participation by offering free and low-cost programs, including our growing senior initiative and public community events. These programs provide opportunities for movement, music, learning, and social connection. By honoring the traditions of Argentine Tango while embracing today's diverse communities, we help ensure this remarkable cultural legacy continues to thrive for future generations.

TANGO INCLUŚION is proud to serve as a cultural home where heritage, artistic excellence, community, and belonging come together, one embrace at a time.
